PARENTAL CARE NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL BUSHENYI SHINES AGAIN AT TEACHERS DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Sixteen schools including Ntare School and Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi will represent Uganda in Arusha Tanzania to take part in the East African debate championship that will be held in August 2025.
The sixteen qualified at the national debating competition organized by Teacher Debate Network for both Secondary and Primary Schools that was held at Ntare School in Mbarara city under the theme; “Climate change and reducing drug abuse in society”.
Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi won the National challenge after defeating Uganda martyrs Primary School Mbarara on finals.
Ntare School excelled the secondary category after floors Kigezi High from Kabale Municipality in finals in a compitetion that has over 35 secondary schools.
Bright Beyogyera a teacher at Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi acknowledged that the competition was tough though they managed to win.
He said, “The system at Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi has equipped learners with knowledge of problem solving and critical thinking on how to avert preventable challenges like climate change, poverty and drug abuse.
Ninkusiima Lea, Ashaba Isaiah and Nabibaasa Blessed from Parental Care Nursery and Primary School are the speakers that brought a 5-0 split against Uganda Martyrs Primary School hence becoming champions of the competition for the year 2025.
Ashaba Isaiah of Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi emerged the overall best speaker of the competition.
