PERSEVERANCE, TOLERANCE SHINES THROUGH AS PARENTAL CARE NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL BUSHENYI GRADUATES 66.

22nd November, 2025 is a day to remember for learners who graduated, parents and nursery section staff at Parental Care after seeing the fruits of their labour.
The day that was colorful and merry due to the performances of the pupils created fresh memories as the school Director Ms. Elvaida Nshemereirwe commonly known as Aunt Elly narrated to the congregation how the school started only as a nursery school way back in 1989.
“At the beginning, it was never my intention to start a Primary School. This school is the first nursery school in Bushenyi District and I wanted it to remain like that but parents would leave their children behind even after completing nursery something that left me with no option but to start a primary section”, she said. This is because they trusted me and how I handled their children. She continued to say.
Aunt Elly said that she feels the same as a parent the reason she has never chased any child for school fees for the 36 years the school has existed the tolerance she says is rare to find in most private schools.
After starting a primary, the director says that she never hoped that the school would grow up to this level but because of the trust from parents, the school has grown to now being recognized at International level.
She noted that the school had it’s first candidates (19) in 2007 and 15 of them came in first grade. “Seeing the class grow from 19 (2007) to 120 (2025) is surely a milestone to celebrate but if it wasn’t for tolerance and perseverance, we wouldn’t be here”, she said.
The event which was spiced by performances from the graduands saw 66 pupils graduate from top class to primary and was graced by majorly parents from across Uganda. Every graduand was awarded with a certificate, a framed photo and a 2026 school calendar.

The Chief Guest Hon. Douglas Mucunguzi applauded Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi for equipping it’s learners with holistic development skills something he says has enabled them to easily mingle with the outside world long after leaving Parental Care.
“These pupils are equipped with self expression, public speaking and communication skills and these are the skills everyone needs to be successful in life”, he says.
He appreciated the cooperation between Parents and the administration and he says this has enabled the steady growth of the school.
The graduands were represented by Baby Keitetsi Shantel who appreciated the parents, teachers and fellow learners for being so friendly noting that this has made their early learning days easy.
