PARENTAL CARE HOLDS ANNUAL THANKSGIVING 2025.

Following years of academic excellence, Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi held an annual thanksgiving day yesterday in appreciation of what they have been through both in academics and co-curricular activities. Yesterday’s function was the 10th in a row.

The day was coupled among others; recognizing religious leaders from different denominations who have been praying for the school and pupils, the none teaching staff members (matrons, school nurse, school bursars, drivers, cleaners and wardens) for their efforts in providing a holistic environment to learners, heads of departments and teachers for ensuring that every child excels. Top performing pupils in different disciplines were also recognized given awards.

The director of the school Aunt Elly as she is commonly refered to appreciated parents acknowledging that the school can’t achieve anything without them. “Your efforts in seeing that our children and the school succeed can never be taken for granted” she said. The director also introduced Mr. Tayebwa Desmond as the new Headteacher after Mr. Perez who headed the school for the last successful 15yrs asked to retire at the end of last year. Mr. Muhereza Valentine aka Kachaina was also unveiled as the official school ambassador.

The Chief guest of the day was the youthful aspiring MP for Igara West Hon. Asimiire Mackline Bareija who currently serves as the Secretary for sports and culture at the National Youth Council. In her words, she encouraged pupils to take advantage of the exposure provided to them by the school through debates, speech competitions and many other opportunities provided. “All these activities are aimed at grooming and sharpening you as future leaders” she said.

Ven. Rev. Didas Natweta, the Archdeacon for All Saints Greater Bushenyi in West Ankole Diocese graced the event as he blessed everyone who attended including pupils that showcased their talents through debating, speech and drama.
